Bobby has had songs recorded by such artist as: #1 gospel by Jeff Silvey "You Get What You Pray For" (Dove Award), Randy Travis, Lee Ann Womack, Ronnie Milsap, Neal McCoy, Perfect Strangers, PinMonkey, Leslie Satcher, Russell Smith, Amazing Rhythm Aces, Joe Stampley, Tony Stampley, The Wiggins, Blake and Brian, Lisa Brokop, Danny Shirley, Heather Nicole Thompson, Calvin Gilmore, Bill Gentry, Bernadine Mitchell, Neal Dixon, Perfect Heart, Phillip Powers, etc. Bobby started singing in church at age five. He grew up in North Georgia in a Christian home with five sisters and one brother. He sang in vocal groups in school and won several talent shows playing in various bands. Bobby started ranching and farming at an early age with his Dad. After going to Reinhardt College, he went into the army as a sharp shooter and fire fighter. After the army he acquired his own farms. Bobby's love for the West carried him to Montana where he eventually purchased a place on the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley, Montana in the early 80's and spent ten years writing and playing music around Yellowstone Park and working as a hunting and fishing guide. Montana is where he started writing songs. With the help of Jim Rives, Bobby recorded two of his songs with such players as Chunky Venable, Danny Pendley, Jimmy White, Bruce Watkins, Randy and Stan Sorrells, Bobby and Linda Whitlock and Pam Tillis singing background. Needless to say that was a major learning experience in the music business. After lots of work and years songwriting, in the early 90's he landed a publishing deal as a staff writer with Island Bound Music in Nashville for eight years which lead to several cuts. Bobby has been with his wife, Sheila, for 27 years. They have three grown sons and three grandchildren. Between home in Cumming, Georgia and his home in Nashville, he stays pretty busy with writing, gardening and playing with the grandchildren.
